1 in 4 people will experience mental health problems in their lifetimes....so why are we still struggling to talk about our problems?
Some may view it as a weakness to seek help and support. I don't know about you but if I wanted to run a marathon for example, I would need some sort of training support to enable me to get through the challenge of it - does that mean I am weak for making use of the right support?
Consider what it's like, knowing you are struggling with something and not getting the right support to assist you. Week after week does this make the situation feel easier or harder for you?
Now consider what its like facing the same challenge in the knowledge that you have the right support in place. Support from a professional who will listen to what you have to say, be non-judgemental, respect you, value you, be with you every step of the way. Week after week, how do you think this type of support would make you feel?
